In the most anticipated and heated up clash of the Premier League MANU took down the Gunners with the result of 1-0. Ji Sung Park's goal in the first half had made sure the chances of United over Arsenal was there, this lead eventually remained till the end. The goal came as a result of Nani's deflected cross ,which Ji-Sung successfully headed into the goal post. All Szczesny could do was too see misery coming along their way. The South Korean scored his fourth goal against the Arsenal .United also had another chance of doubling their lead when a foul coming from Geal Clichy provided a penalty to Rooney, but failed.Arsenal overall had a pretty bad day, which was marred by four yellow cards, including that of French Nasri.Their chance to compete and to be in the match also got lost when Chamakh and failed to convert the header.Through out the match the Gunners could not enough chances, to open gaps in the United defense which ultimately made Wenger pretty at aloss. Till the first half it was an equally intense battle of the titans.Each of side were completely pumped up since the beginning to win this high rated clash, which could be seen obviously when there had been numerous tackles through out the field.But the home side kept on building pressure on the Gunners where they had been bashing around the goal post,and Szczesny was equally challenged with ball being posted to the goals from Rooney and Nani,but was successful in handling them.Arsenal also had a chance when Nasri had a low angled shot which was deflected from Van der Ser, which could have been made better if Chamakh would made some space for proper shooting,but it was deflected by Vidic.
Arsenal's defeat means they have won none of their last 11 games against United and Chelsea that sort of form is unlikely to win them the title.
