Nasri taking on Partizan's Aleksandar Lazevski
Arsenal in a Group H match has finally booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League. They were able to secure a thumping victory over Partizan Belgrade scoring 3-1 at the end of the final whistle.
Theo Walcott emerged as a hero in this battle where him coming from the bench bagged an important goal in the second half.Though the Arsenal kept most the possession for most of the match , but their precision at the end was not up to the mark if compared playing with a lesser affective Partizans. Persie opened the scoring account for the home team after making a penalty kick thanks to Jovanovic who had enforced a foul. Nasri on the other hand was in the line to make a goal just two minutes after the second half, where he was in the penalty area but unfortunately kicked it high over the bar.Partizan after four minutes got the opportunity when their midfielder Cleo scored for the visiting team on a deflected shot beating the Arsenal's keeper Fabianski.
Wenger made up decision of sending Theo Walcott in the field which proved to a great decision. He scored the second goal, taking full advantage of lazy work by the Partizan's defenders and made the ball home from the six yards in the 73rd minute.
Later Nasri this time making no mistake, with collaboration with Song were able to craft the ball low past Stojokivc. With all the good work of the day by Arsenal was marred by a red card  awarded to Bacary Sagna posting his foul on Aleksandar Lazevski with only just four minutes to go.This was the final blow which brought up a 3-1  lead ,cashing fully on the Partizan's misery.
Later the victory of Ukranian Shakhtar Donetsk  over the Braga 2-0 placed them at the top of the Group H ahead of Arsenal finishing with 15 points whereas Arsenal managed 12 points. From England Chelsea, Arsenal, MANU,Tottenham qualified for the knockout phase.
